MassMu Hosts Art Educators of the Year Finalists Exhibition

The Massillon Museum co-sponsored—with the Canton Symphony Orchestra and the Canton Museum of Art—the 2024 Art Educator of the Year award. The winner will be announced during the Canton Symphony Orchestra concert on Saturday, March 23.

Artwork by the five finalists will be exhibited in the Massillon Museum's Lower Level Lobby and in a complementary exhibition at the Canton Museum of Art from March 15 through March 30, 2024. The finalists for the 2024 Art Educator of the Year Award are:

- Brian Robinson, Tuslaw Local Schools
- Jill Balderson, Plain Local Schools
- Macy McAdams, Massillon City Schools
- Matthew J. Ferrell, Massillon City Schools
- Sara Snyder, North Canton City Schools

The Massillon Museum exhibit can be seen during regular Museum hours, Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A visit to the Massillon Museum is always free.

The Music Educator of the Year will also be announced on March 23. Both awards recognize public, private, and parochial art and music educators in the region served by the Stark County Educational Service Center who have positively impacted their students and communities, and who have shown great dedication to the field of art and music education.

MassMu presents the awards in partnership with the Canton Museum of Art and Canton Symphony Orchestra. The winner of each award will receive a $500 check.
