MassMu Extends Hours for Last Saturday

The Massillon Museum will remain open until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, in collaboration with downtown Massillon’s Last Saturday event. A visit to the Massillon Museum is always free and everyone is welcome.

Guests can see INTO LIGHT Project Ohio: Continuing the Conversation; Barrie Kaufman: A Fragile Environment; “Carry On:” A Century of Swing; The Paul Brown/Massillon Tiger Football History Timeline; Collection Spotlight: Faces of Massillon Business; The Immel Circus; the Local History Gallery; Innovators of Massillon; the American Indian Gallery; and the Albert E. Hise Fine and Decorative Arts Gallery.

“We hope residents will take this extra opportunity to bring their out-of-town guests downtown to see Museum exhibits, visit the Downtown Massillon Association holiday display in Duncan Plaza, and enjoy dinner or refreshments in downtown establishments,” said MassMu Public Relations Coordinator Margy Vogt.

MassMu receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council and ArtsinStark as well as marketing support from Visit Canton.  This event is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Regular Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

The Massillon Museum is located at 121 Lincoln Way East in downtown Massillon. Free parking is available on adjacent streets and in nearby city lots. For more information, call the Museum at 330-833-4061 or visit MassillonMuseum.org.
