Boston, MA - A recent report from the Boston Globe revealed that facilities designated for housing migrants also accommodate and employ convicted child sex offenders. This alarming revelation underscores the atrocious oversight by the Healey-Driscoll Administration, highlighting Massachusetts’ failure in handling the migrant crisis.

MassGOP Chairwoman, Amy Carnevale, commented on the recent discovery by the Globe stating, “As a parent, I am utterly disgusted by the State’s incompetence in housing child migrants alongside convicted child predators. This glaring oversight underscores that Massachusetts is unable to handle the migrant crisis. The consequences are dire: residents lose access to community resources, the Democratic supermajority is spending billions of taxpayer dollars on perpetuating this crisis, and migrants themselves are put at serious risk.”

“It’s not right that taxpayers are forced to continuously fund the Healey-Driscoll Administrations failures. It’s high time the Democratic supermajority acknowledges these failures, accepts Republican proposals to amend the right-to-shelter law, and resolves this migrant crisis before further harm is done and the state budget is depleted,” Carnevale concluded.
