Grant assistance for PECO Commercial Natural Gas Customers impacted by Covid-19 pandemic

Small businesses affected by the pandemic can now apply to receive a one-time grant of $500 towards their existing PECO natural gas account.  The grant will be applied directly to your bill and will lower current outstanding balances or provide a credit for future charges.

To be eligible, applicants must have an active PECO gas account on or before March 31, 2020, take service under Rate GC (gas commercial service), have fewer than 25 employees, and have experienced financial hardship resulting from the pandemic. Each commercial gas business is eligible for only one grant, regardless of the number of gas accounts listed under the business name. 

Applications will be considered in the order they are received, while funding lasts – apply today!

Applying is simple. 

-Download the application 

-Complete the application

-Save it as "[GG_APP_ BUSINESS NAME]"

-Email your completed application as an attachment to: [email protected]  

Once your application is approved, you will be notified within 7-10 business days.  The actual credit will be applied within 60 days of approval. If you have questions, please call 1-800-494-4000.

FAQs

Am I eligible for the Small Business Gas Grant Program if I have a Home Based Business?

Yes, if your business takes gas service under rate code GC.  Otherwise, no.

I just opened my business in March of 2021. Am I eligible?

No. You must have been a PECO Gas customer prior to March 31, 2020.

I have two businesses, am I eligible for two grants?

Applications will be considered based on the EIN number and name of the business.

If my application is rejected, am I allowed to reapply?

If your application has been rejected and the stated reason for rejection has been resolved, you may reapply.

Once my application is approved, when should I expect to see a bill credit?

Bill credits for approved grants are expected to show on a customer's bill within 60 days of approval.

I am currently on a payment plan. Am I allowed to apply for the Small Business Gas Grant?

Yes. You are allowed to apply and may be eligible for the Small Business Gas Grant.

If I received stimulus money from the Federal Government or other Covid-19 related loans, grants or payouts, am I still allowed to apply for the PECO Small Business Gas Grant Program?

Yes. Recipients of stimulus money, loans, grants or payouts from other governmental and non-governmental agencies are eligible to apply.

Can I request my grant be made out to me in the form of a check?

No. All grants will be awarded as bill credits.
