Livermore-Amador Symphony Announces Awards for Graduating High School Seniors

Arts and Entertainment

September 26, 2022

From: Livermore-Amador Symphony

Livermore, Calif. – For over fifty years, the Livermore-Amador Symphony Association (LAS) has recognized students who have made significant contributions to school and community musical activities during their time in high school.  The awards are based on participation in musical events and activities, and not on ability or plans to continue in music programs. The intent is to recognize participation and the desire to provide music to the community.

High school seniors who are involved in musical activities through their school and community are invited to apply for one of the $500 awards administered by the Symphony Association.  Applicants must reside or attend school in Livermore, Pleasanton, Sunol, Dublin, or San Ramon, CA, or must have actively participated as LAS musicians.

Applications for the 2022-2023 season awards must be submitted by Sunday, October 23, 2022.  Four recipients will be selected from the pool of applicants. Applicants will be notified of results by November 7, 2022. Winners will be profiled on the Livermore-Amador Symphony’s website and in their newsletter, Symphony Notes. The Awards will be presented at the Symphony’s concert on the evening of December 3, 2022.

Students interested in applying for an award will find the application and additional information on the Symphony's website: https://livermoreamadorsymphony.org/awards.html
