Leah Allen Submits Comment Against CDC Action

BOSTON, Mass. – Leah Cole Allen, Republican candidate for Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor, submitted a public comment to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in advance of their expected vote Thursday on whether to add COVID-19 vaccines to the childhood immunization schedule.

“Adding the COVID-19 vaccine to the childhood immunization schedule would undoubtedly lead to mandates for children to attend public schools in many parts of the country,” Allen said in a statement regarding her comment. “A Diehl-Allen Administration will never force parents to subject their kids to an experimental vaccine in order to have access to education.”

Allen’s full comment to the CDC is as follows:

“I would like to be on record strongly opposing adding the COVID-19 vaccines to the childhood immunization schedule. Children are at almost no risk from COVID-19 and therefore do not benefit from this shot.

I strongly implore the Committee to review the data surrounding the impacts of COVID-19 vaccinations on children and adolescents – namely, the risk for myocarditis, possible effects on future fertility, and the data suggesting permanent negative changes to the immune system. To ignore these data sets is reckless and irresponsible, and we owe it to the children of our nation to protect them from the flawed science surrounding COVID-19.

As you are well aware, once a vaccine is added to the childhood schedule, the manufacturer can no longer be held liable for any damage caused by their product. We still do not understand the full long-term implications of this treatment on our population, and it is imperative we protect our children from the unknown effects of this vaccine, as the benefits do not outweigh the risks at this time.”
