The City of Wichita today announced Kristina Rose as its new Internal Auditor.

Rose will implement and oversee a systematic, disciplined auditing program to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, City finance control and governance processes.

Rose was previously the Assistant Controller in the Finance department for the City of Wichita. Prior to her roles with the City, she was an external auditor for Allen, Gibbs & Houlik, L.C.

She attended Wichita State University where she obtained bachelor’s degrees in both accounting and finance with a minor in economics. She is currently working toward a certification for Certified Internal Auditor.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to serve the City and residents in this capacity,” said Rose. “The City has established a strong financial foundation, and my goal is to ensure that it continues to remain solid.”

She will begin her new position September 6.
