The Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing posted a vacancy announcement for a Communication Access Service Program Manager. 

Kansas Housing Resources Corp. HOME-ARP Listening Sessions

The final listening sessions for Kansas Housing Resources Corporation's (KHRC) HOME-ARP Program are being held on June 28 and June 29, 2022. The writing of the Allocation Plan began earlier this year, and this will be the final opportunity for State and local partners to share data directly with our organization and our consultants before the HOME-ARP Allocation Plan is completed. Any comments following these sessions must be made in writing.

KHRC has $22,929,650 to fund the following Eligible Activities:

• Development and support of affordable housing
• Supportive services
• Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
• Acquisition and development of non-congregate shelter units
• Up to 10% of funds can be designated for operating and capacity building expenses for nonprofits carrying out HOME-ARP activities

Individuals and families who qualify for assistance are those who are:

• Homeless
• At risk of homelessness
• Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking
• Other Populations
• Other families requiring services or housing assistance to prevent homelessness
• At greatest risk of housing instability
• Veterans, and families that include a veteran family member, that meet the criteria for one of the qualifying populations described above are eligible to receive HOME-ARP assistance

If you serve the Qualifying Populations or believe that there is a housing need in your community that HOME-ARP can address, you are encouraged to attend the virtual listening sessions. Please note: There is no need to register for these sessions!

Kansas Disability Caucus Advertising Opportunity
