Albany's portion of the Canal is a bit harder to find.  If you've ever been on our bicycle, barges and beer tours, you'll know just where to find a bit still peeking out along, you guessed it, Erie Boulevard.  On October 26th, engineering professor, Dr. Andrew Wolfe and archaeologist Denis Foley will talk about their work hunting for and excavating North Albany Weigh Lock and Lock 1 of the Enlarged Erie Canal.  They will talk about their research to locate the locks, how they approached digging them up, and what they found!
