Severe Weather Threat This Weekend

As you may be aware, a significant weather threat looms this weekend, with the possibility of tropical storm-force winds impacting our area. It's crucial to be prepared and prioritize safety.

Here's what we expect:

 - Strong winds: Tropical storm-force winds are possible. These winds can cause significant damage, from downed trees and power lines to property destruction.
 - Heavy rain: Rainfall is expected throughout the weekend, with the potential for flash flooding in low-lying areas. Be mindful of drainage ditches and avoid flooded roadways.
 - Coastal hazards: High waves and storm surge are likely along the coast, leading to beach erosion and potential flooding in coastal communities. Stay away from the shoreline and be extra cautious near piers and jetties.

Stay informed and prepared:

 - Closely monitor weather updates: Stay tuned to local news media and National Weather Service advisories for the latest forecasts and warnings.
 - Secure your property: Bring in outdoor furniture, decorations, and any loose objects that could become projectiles in high winds.

Remember, safety is paramount.
