39th Annual Senior Appreciation Dinner
Volunteer Opportunity

Help us honor our seniors!

We’re looking for volunteers to help us get into the Holiday Spirit at the 39th Annual Senior Appreciation Dinner on Sunday, December 4.  The “All is Bright” Appreciation Dinner will be held at the Villa Chanticleer from 1:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.  This event serves as a celebration of our senior residents, and an opportunity for us to say thank you for their many contributions to our wonderful community, past and present.

In previous years, more than 200 seniors attend this dinner, and an additional 50-60 seniors receive a home-delivered meal. For many of our senior citizens, this dinner is their only holiday event.

The Senior Appreciation Dinner is organized and hosted by Community Services staff, with former councilmember Gary Plass volunteering as Head Chef, and councilmembers, commissioners, City staff, and their families participating.  Due to the size of the event, approximately 40 volunteers are needed to ensure that this special day runs smoothly.

We invite you to join us as we honor the individuals who have shaped our community over the past several decades.  All ages are welcomed to volunteer!

Volunteers can participate in three ways:

- As a server
- Kitchen help, set-up help, or break-down help
- As a home delivery driver

To volunteer, please contact Yaquelin Buenrostro, Senior Center Volunteer Coordinator at (707) 431-3492 or [email protected] no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28.

Join Our Team!
