Special Guest: Leila Duclos

Tickets are on sale now for the Pump House Regional Arts Center's opening concert. Renowned gypsy jazz band, Harmonious Wail, presents their newest program - 'Simon & Simon' in the Pump House's Dayton Theater. The set features favorites from the catalogues of Paul Simon and Carly Simon. Harmonious Wail have also invited French singer and guitarist Leila Duclos to join them onstage for their second act.

Harmonious Wail is a trio of multi-award winning musicians: Sims Delaney-Potthoff - a mandolin virtuoso and vocalist, Maggie Delaney-Potthoff - vocalist extraordinaire whose percussive instrument of choice is a cardboard box (but can rock almost any household object), and Pete Olig - their newest member and master bassist.

These illustrious, yet humble artists vow that every performance is played from the heart and infused with a perfect balance of inspiration, emotion, wit and storytelling. Their new show, 'Simon and Simon' draws from the soulful beats and sepia lyrics of Rhymin' Paul Simon and the inspirational and timeless torch songs of Carly Simon. It promises an evening of refreshed reminiscence and a sweet reminder that we are all "still crazy after all these years."

Special guest Leila Duclos is a star on the rise in the international jazz scene. Affectionately called, "The Daughter of Fire", she draws her musical inspiration from the universe of Django Reinhardt and Ella Fitzgerald. Through her blossoming career, Leila has become known for the astonishing virtuosity of her scat. Her collaboration with Harmonious Wail sets the stage for a truly one-of-a-kind event.

Doors open at 7:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at thepumphouse.org, by calling 608-785-1434, or by visiting the Pump House Box office at 119 King Street in La Crosse. The box office is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. Hours extend to 7:00 pm on Tuesdays. Tickets are also available at the door.
