AJ Parks and Recreation would like to thank the ghost and goblins whom participated in the Annual Halloween Festival.   This year’s festival was in a brand-new location at Superstition Shadows Park and saw great participant numbers in activities like the Trunk or Treat, bounce houses, Costume Contest, Pumpkin Carving Contest, and a Howl-o-ween Canine Costume Contest. 

The Halloween Festival featured local non-profit organizations and businesses who contributed to the event by providing tricks and treats to the kids. The agencies hosted games and activities at their booths for the children and families to participate in. 

This year’s event featured an all-new activity, the Pumpkin Patch, which was hosted by Apache Junction Little League. Event attendees could enter the Patch for free and take their pick of the almost 500 pumpkins! 

The community participants really stepped up this year by submitting numerous original and creative costumes and pumpkins into our contests. Congratulations to all of the contest winners!

We would like to send a huge thank you to our Trunk or Treat sponsor, Lost Dutchman Realty. We also want to extend a big thank you to our other event sponsors, Fry’s Food Stores (150 E Old West Hwy.), The Friends of Apache Junction, Apache Junction Little League, and Legacy Traditional Schools. The local business out did themselves this year with pretty amazing trunk transformations.
