Guilford County Schools Names Two New Principals
Fanisha Fuller, Candace Hudson promoted from assistant principal positions

Greensboro, N.C. – New principals have been named for two Guilford County Schools. 

Fanisha Fuller will become principal of Fairview Elementary, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Fuller is the 2023-24 GCS Assistant Principal of the Year and was GCS Teacher of the Year in 2015-16. She has been assistant principal at Fairview Elementary since 2020, and during her tenure, all K-5 teachers met or exceeded growth for the 2022-23 academic year. She also wrote and received a multimillion-dollar grant through the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction’s Innovative Partnership Grant (IPG) and initiated a basketball program in partnership with Thomas Built Buses.

Fuller holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master’s degree in elementary education from Gardner-Webb University, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from High Point University.

Candace Hudson will become principal of Christine Joyner Greene Education Center, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Hudson has been an assistant principal at Page High since 2018. As assistant principal, she oversaw the Exceptional Children’s (EC) department, which achieved 100 percent compliance with state guidelines since 2019. During her tenure, Page High met growth in all tested areas for the 2022-23 school year. She has also been an EC teacher at Hunter Elementary, McNair Elementary and Dudley High. 

Hudson holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of West Indies-Kingston, Jamaica, a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Western Ontario-London, a master’s degree in special education and a post-master's certificate in school administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
