NOVEMBER CIRCLE OF FRIENDS’ EVENTS

Election Day Bake Sale

Tuesday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

TUES., NOV. 8, 9 AM-5 PM

The Circle of Friends will be outside the polls on Election Day selling delicious treats. All proceeds will benefit the Groton Public Library. Donations of cookies, brownies, cupcakes, cake pops, and other sweet and savory snacks (homemade or store bought) are greatly appreciated.

Circle of Friends Monthly Meetup

Book Sale Room Open Hours

Tuesday, November 29, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Circle of Friends Book Sale Room will be open for shopping—no appointment necessary! Browse our selection of new and gently-used fiction and nonfiction books, DVDs, audiobooks, puzzles, and games. All items are "name your own price," and proceeds benefit the Groton Public Library.

JUNIOR FRIENDS

Leftover Candy Drive: November 1-7

The Junior Friends of the Groton Public Library are collecting leftover Halloween candy to send to U.S. service members through Operation Gratitude. Please do not donate Pixie Stixs or other powdery candy because they can make a mess of the care packages. For more information, contact Kim Balentine at (860) 441-6750 or [email protected].

Crafting for a Cause

Thursday, November 10, at 3:30 p.m.

Make cool crafts that will be gifted to local senior citizens, nursing home residents, homebound individuals, and veterans. Limited to Junior Friends members; it’s free to join!

Family Film & Fundraiser

Saturday, November 12, at 2:30 p.m.

The Junior Friends will present a Saturday showing of a family-friendly film. Refreshments will be for sale with proceeds to benefit the Groton Public Library. Feel free to bring your pillows and blankets as you enjoy the movie on the big screen! Call the Library at (860) 441-6750 for this month’s film title.

Library Helper Day

Tuesday, November 15, at 3:30 p.m.

During this busy hour, the Junior Friends will assist Groton Public Library staff in a variety of projects, including preparing craft and program materials, dusting and light cleaning, straightening shelves, and special event preparation.
