GOSA Sheep Farm Hike

Saturday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 pm.

Join the Groton Public Library staff at the Groton Sheep Farm for a guided family hike led by Groton Open Space Association. Hikers should wear appropriate shoes, bring a water bottle, and provide their own bug spray, if they want it. Meet at the entrance to the property on Hazelnut Hill Rd. behind Pequot Health Center.

Owls Among Us

Saturday, July 23, at 10 a.m.

Freedom First Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Waterford, CT will discuss regional owls and how to protect them. There will also be a meet and greet with a live Owl Ambassador.

Moore Woodlands Hike

Wednesday, August 3, at 3:30 p.m.

Join the Groton Public Library staff for a guided hike with Avalonia Land Conservancy to explore their Tree Trail, identifying and learning about different trees as we walk. Meet at the entrance to the property off of Capstan Ave (northeast entrance, ample parking on street).
