Crafty Kids

Saturday, July 1, at 10 a.m.

Stop by the children’s room at the Groton Public Library to make a fun craft, available while supplies last.

Read with Dune

Saturday, July 1, at 10 a.m.

Stop by the children's room at the Groton Public Library for a chance to read to our local therapy dog, Dune! Reading times available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Children's Grab & Go Craft

Monday, July 3 – August 7, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Pick up a bag full of fun at the Groton Public Library! Bags include most of the supplies you need, plus instructions, available while supplies last. Recommended for ages 5+

Learn & Play Playgroup

Wednesday, July 5 & 19, at 10 a.m.

This child-focused playgroup is for young children and their caregivers. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with others, make new friends, and learn by playing in a literacy-enriched environment. Each session will include activities, sensory materials, and toys.

Fun Friday: Float Your Boat

Friday, July 7, at 10 a.m.

Children ages 5 and older are challenged to create mini-boats out of upcycled materials that will actually float!

Sing & Stomp

Wednesday, July 12, at 10 a.m.

Join us for an active, music-enriched program open to all! Sing & Stomp is a noisy half hour of songs, dance, and fingerplays; no registration necessary.

Fun Friday: Chase’s Birthday

Friday, July 14, at 11 a.m.

The Groton Police Department’s service dog, Chase, is turning 4 years old! Help us celebrate our favorite yellow lab’s birthday at the Groton Public Library with an hour of coloring, treats, and puppy time. Children of all ages are welcome.

Fun Friday: Petting Zoo

Friday, July 21, at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Xen’s Critters will present a petting zoo, featuring baby farm animals like chicks, ducklings, goats, and sheep! This program will be a drop-in format, no registration necessary. Generously funded by the Circle of Friends of the Groton Public Library.

Summer Stories

Wednesday, July 26, at 10 a.m.

Story time for all ages! Children and their caregivers are welcome to join us at the Groton Public Library for stories, fingerplays, bounces, and so much more.

Fun Friday: Children’s Cooking Class

Friday, July 28, at 11 a.m.

Children ages 6 and older are invited to cook along with Community Nutrition Educator, Erica Benvenuti. Learn skills as we chop, dice, and cook a yummy treat. Space is limited; registration required. For more information, contact the Groton Public Library at (860) 441-6750
