AUGUST EVENTS FOR TEENS
Note that programming may be affected or cancelled due to COVID-19.

Explorer’s Club
Wednesday, August 3, at 3:30 p.m.

Let’s explore the world around us! Download the iNaturalist app or visit the website to start identifying the insects, plants, and animals you see. All observations will be automatically be added to our Explorer’s Project. Then join us at the Groton Public Library on alternating weeks to see what we’ve found, troubleshoot any problems, and do a fun activity.

Teen Volunteer Office Hours & Button Making
Thursday, August 4 & 11, at 2 p.m.

Hang out with Miss Jessa while we get to know our fellow volunteers, make buttons, and brush up on our volunteer training. Office hours are not required, however, every teen who participates will earn an additional hour of volunteer service.

Teen Camp Crafts
Thursday, August 4 & 11, at 3 p.m.

Teens entering grades 6-12 are invited to drop in for crafts that take you off the beaten path and into the great outdoors! All supplies provided; no registration required.

Fitch Summer Book Club
Thursday, August 4 & 18, at 6 p.m.

Get your summer reading done at the Groton Public Library! Copies of the books are available for check out in Teenscape. Ask Miss Jessa for more details.

Can You Beat the Librarian?
Tuesday, August 9, 16, 23 & 30, at 5:30 p.m.
Teens entering grades 6-12 can join us on Tuesdays at the Groton Public Library for a different board game and see if you can beat Miss Jessa or Miss Lindsey.

Club 306
Wednesday, August 10 & 24, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Club 306 is a social group for teens and tweens that celebrates and supports the LGBTQ+ community. Join us at the Groton Public Library to make buttons, get to know each other, and set goals for our new group. Looking for resources? Check out books with the Dewey Decimal number: 306.76!
