While Coordinator of Musical Theatre Studies in the UNL Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, Ms. Belflower contributed to many grand projects with TADA Productions, Inc. including musical directing SWEENEY TODD with the Nebraska Symphony Chamber Orchestra. During her time at UNL, she built a legacy of impressive credits including outstanding direction of many musicals, directing developmental

readings of new musicals with Broadway composers-in-residence and was the producing director of the "Celebration of American Song Series" founded in 2004. A national award-winning director and teacher, Alisa earned a master's and completed doctoral course work in voice at the University of South Carolina. Having taught and performed internationally, Ms. Belflower developed training programs in musical theatre at Miami University, Towson University in Baltimore, and at UNL—all resulting in former students performing on Broadway and London’s West End as well as in national touring companies. 

She is pleased that while at The TADA Theatre she will be the director for Jason Robert Brown’s musical SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD in December, musical director for the Stephen Sondheim’s musical masterpiece COMPANY in January and musical director for Jonathan Larson’s hit musical TICK, TICK…BOOM in March.
