Save the Date!

Friends of Forbes Artisans Fair
Sunday, October 2, 2022 
10 am – 3 pm

Located at Forbes Library. There will be 36 Artisans, along with food trucks. Free parking will be available in the Smith College parking garage. Free to attend!

Fundraiser by Friends of Forbes Library, inc. All proceeds go to Forbes Library for books, equipment, and programs.

Forbes Library is developing a new strategic plan. Your responses to this survey will guide the library's decisions in crafting a plan for a better Forbes Library. This survey is voluntary and anonymous, and will take five to ten minutes to complete. All questions are optional. Thank you for participating.

VIRTUAL Far Out Film Discussion
Monday, Wednesday, October 5, 2022, 8 pm

Far Out Film Discussion will have a zoom meeting to talk about the 2015 French horror film Evolution by director Lucile Hadžihalilovi?.

Bilingual Storytime/Libros y Canciones
Wednesdays, 10 am

Sing songs and read books in English and Spanish! This event is best suited for children ages 1.5-3. We will meet outside on the library lawn. In inclement weather, we will move to the community room and cap attendance at 30.

¡Canta canciones y lee libros en ingles y español! Este evento es apropriado para niños de edades 1.5-3. Reuniremos en el jardín de la biblioteca. Si hay clima inclemente, iremos a la sala de comunidad y nos limitará asistencia a las 30.

Magic the Gathering Club for Teens
Thursday, October 6, 2022, 6:30 pm

Join us for a casual meetup for teens interested in MTG! 

Curious about learning how to play? Looking for other players? Don't have any cards? That's ok! Forbes will provide cards to use at the library.

This program is for ages 13+ and meeting biweekly Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Children's Dept starting October 6. Questions? Email [email protected]

Teen Art Lounge
Fridays, 4 pm

Drop in and work on your own project, or use our supplies to start something new! We'll have everything you need to knit, crochet, draw, paint, and more. Meet other teen artists in a relaxed, do-it-yourself space. We'll meet every Friday from 4-5pm in the YA Room. This program is for teens only. Email [email protected] for more info.
