Mask Policy Update

In light of the rising cases and in anticipation of the possibility of our area entering the highest level of transmission as defined by the state’s health department, the Trustees approved reinstating the library's mask policy if Hampshire County enters “red” and removing it when the county leaves “red”.
The COVID-19 Community Levels are updated weekly on Thursday. As of May 19, 2022, Hampshire County is currently in the medium, or "yellow" level.

Forbes Library Mask Policy

It is important that the library is a safe space for everyone. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we require that ALL patrons (2 years of age or older) and staff wear masks when inside the library regardless of vaccination status when Hampshire County is identified as “high” Covid-19 Community Level as defined by the CDC.

Anyone who is unable or unwilling to follow this policy may not enter the library and will be offered alternatives, including curbside or home delivery of library materials; phone, email or chat assistance by staff; virtual tours; and outdoor access to materials.

2022 Northampton Garden Tour

Tour tickets are available now at Cooper's Corner, State Street Fruit Store, Bay State Perennial Farm, Wanczyk's Nursery, Gardener's Supply Company, and Forbes Library.

You can also reserve tickets online via the Friends of Forbes website from May 9 through Wednesday, June 8, for pick up at Forbes Library the week of the tour only on Thursday, June 9 from 4-8 pm, Friday, June 10 and Saturday, beginning at 9:30 am.

Plus, you can purchase raffle tickets as well at the library and at garden #2 on the day of the tour. Preview the wonderful prizes.
