Artist Spotlight

Meet our FVAC Artist in Residence 2023

Jordan is an artist based out of Connecticut. His mediums include wood, metal, fabric, paper, and ink. The art he creates is enigmatic and whimsical. Often looking like figures and forms that we would see in everyday life with a clever twist. The one that Jordan favors the most is that of the observer's personal perspective. He hopes to remind the observer that life is ever-changing and, most importantly, perspectives as well.

Jordan notes that his creations change weeks after the ink has dried, or the sculpture has set. The work is a reminder for the observer and for himself to be open to change. The goal of Jordan’s art is to offer an opportunity where two people can both see each other's perspectives as valid. For the art to be a bridge between people where each can pose a simple question, in an almost childlike fashion, “What do you see?” And both perspectives are right. “
