Creative Escape

Join us for a day-long creative journey that will spark your joy of artmaking!

You will participate in four different art experiences to learn a variety of techniques and exercises led by FVAC studio artists and special guests. Our galleries and studios will be open, and you are invited to browse the ever-changing exhibits and collections of work by local professional artists. Delicious refreshments will be offered, including a mid-day lunch catered by Dom’s Coffee – an award-winning neighborhood cafe.

Amy self-published her memoir, Finding Still Waters: The Art of Conscious Recovery, which explores her personal journey to recovery through creativity and mindfulness. She published an epilogue to the book this year.

call for artists

Our Summer Community Calls Exhibit focuses on a fascination with the majesty of the sea and its marine life inhabitants. Submissions can be 2-D or 3-D work in a variety of styles and media inspired by the ocean and the creatures within, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.

CALL FOR ARTISTS & ARTISANS!

Come exhibit and sell your work while sharing space with a studio artist at the Farmington Valley Arts Center at our second annual Fall Arts Market. The event will be held indoors, rain or shine, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is a juried event with limited space.

Work must be registered and delivered to Fisher Gallery by June 28 during regular business hours.
