Meet Instructor Michelle Sherer!
Michelle was introduced to warm glass art in 2018 after receiving a jewelry kiln for her silver clay jewelry. Her husband took her to visit the shop where he bought the kiln to see examples of the beautiful glass artwork and Michelle quickly fell in love with fused glass art. Taking classes under renowned glass artists Patty Gray and Susan Hirsch, Michelle immersed herself into this artform. It was also healing for her as she found glass art to be like stages of grief; glass undergoes fire and transitions into inconceivable beauty in the end. A Southern California native, Michelle finds inspiration in nature, colors and light but also in emotions and music. Michelle has some amazing and innovative workshops coming up this summer at FSA! See below for her current list of classes - we hope you'll join her in the Glass Studio soon!

FSA FAQs FYI:

Can I take a single ceramics class?

FSA ceramics classes take place one day a week during a five or six-week session. Creating ceramic art takes time which can’t be completed in a single class. Our Instructors and students also enjoy the camaraderie which comes with taking classes together on a regular basis, as everyone enjoys FSA’s repeated ceramics class schedule throughout the year!
