DUBLIN, Ohio—(Aug. 8, 2022) Dublin Arts Council (DAC) Executive Director David S. Guion announced today that DAC is accepting grant applications through Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 for Community Arts Grants to local nonprofit arts organizations. The grants will support programming that takes place during 2023.

According to Guion, “Dublin Arts Council’s Community Arts Grants program demonstrates our continuing commitment to support the arts in Dublin.”

By granting funds to nonprofit arts organizations and supporting arts projects with primary impact in Dublin, Dublin Arts Council strives to ensure a healthy community in which a variety of art forms, arts organizations and artistic projects can flourish.

Eligible organizations must be exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service, registered as a nonprofit organization with the State of Ohio and have primary programming impact in Dublin. Applying organizations are encouraged to align programs, events, activities and grant requests considering the following criteria: providing arts education, enriching the community, developing audiences and supporting artists.

All applications are reviewed and scored by a Community Arts Grants Review Committee of Dublin Arts Council board members. Committee members make funding recommendations to the full board based on their review and the amount of funding available. Recommendations are then reviewed and approved by Dublin Arts Council’s Board of Directors. Applicants are notified of grant awards in January of 2023.

About Dublin Arts Council

Dublin Arts Council (DAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a thriving local arts agency which administers comprehensive, engaging programs including a variety of award-winning Art in Public Places projects, a yearlong Visual Arts Series and the annual DAC Sundays at Scioto concert series. DAC is committed to programs and events with strong emphasis on education and community-building. DAC serves as a community convener and thought leader for using art as a catalyst for social change and cultural cohesion. Dublin Arts Council engages the community, cultivates creativity and fosters life-long learning through the arts. DAC is supported in part by the City of Dublin’s hotel/motel tax which was established to improve quality of life for residents, corporate citizens and visitors through community investment in projects and events that enhance visitor appeal, enrich the aesthetic of public property, provide cultural arts experiences, support business, attract positive local, regional and national attention, and encourage overnight stays in Dublin. DAC is also supported by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically. In addition, Dublin Arts Council is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, fundraising events, gallery sales and in-kind contributions. Dublin Arts Council is located at 7125 Riverside Dr. in Dublin, Ohio.
