Midland, MI - Dust off your saddle shoes and get ready to cut a rug! Creative 360 is hosting a Swing Dance Fundraiser on November 11 at 7 pm featuring a huge new dance floor and live band. The fundraiser, which is in part sponsored by Ieuter Insurance Agency, is one way that the arts non-profit raises funds for their programs, scholarships, and operations costs.

The Swing Dance Fundraiser also celebrates a brand new partnership between Creative 360 and the ever popular Midland music group, Blast From The Past! The band will play a new set of music featuring big band favorites like In The Mood and Stardust, newer dance favorites such as Mambo #5 and Bandstand Boogie and even Stars and Stripes in honor of Veteran’s Day.  Desserts are included in the ticket price as well as an optional swing dance lesson which will take place at 6 pm before the fundraiser officially begins.

“This fundraising season we wanted to showcase some of the great programs we offer that make us unique,” said Executive Director Laura Vosejpka. “We are proud to offer our community affordable access to creativity and the arts and the dollars we raise at this fundraiser are crucial to our success.”

Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their best swing time clothes to dance or just listen.  A variety of delicious desserts, coffee, tea, and lemonade will be available.  Guests are also welcome to BYOB and snacks.

The Swing Dance Fundraiser happens Friday, November 11 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Creative 360’s Bayliss Street Gallery with an optional swing lesson starting at 6:00 pm. Admission is $35. You can purchase tickets online at becreative360.org or by calling the arts center at 989-837-1885.
