Council Member Matias Rosales Appointed to Governor's Advisory Board

San Luis, Arizona – Council Member Matias Rosales was appointed by Governor Doug Ducey to serve on the Arizona Department of Real Estate Advisory Board. This honorable appointment is given as recognition to outstanding citizens within the state of Arizona.

The Governor's Arizona Department of Real Estate Advisory Board was established by the Legislature to provide the Real Estate Commissioner recommendations as it deems necessary and beneficial to the best interests of the public. It also provides recommendations on specific questions or proposals as requested by the Commissioner. The board is comprised of ten members appointed by the governor with a term of office of six years.

The membership of the Advisory Board is intended to ensure broad representation of the industry through its appointed members. Council Member Rosales has been a licensed real estate agent and broker, working in residential and commercial real estate since 2008. He is currently serving as Chairman of the board for the Greater Yuma Port Authority and as a Board Member for the Yuma County Planning and Zoning Commission. In the past he has served in various leadership positions such as President of the Yuma Association of Realtors Board Director, and as past chairman and current board member of the Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Of the appointment, Commissioner Louis Dettorre praised Governor Ducey for his selection stating, "Matias Rosales is highly respected in his community, southern Arizona, and the real estate industry. I look forwarding to working with him on the Advisory Board. Both the Board and the Department will benefit from his participation, knowledge and background," he concluded.

“It is a humbling honor to be appointed to Governor Ducey’s Arizona Department of Real Estate Advisory Board,” stated Council Member Matias Rosales. “I am very thankful for this appointment and will assume my new responsibilities with enthusiasm and will uphold the board's mission for the benefit of all Arizona residents.” he concluded. 

“I would like to congratulate Council Member Rosales on this appointment,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “He has immense experience in his field and I am sure he will proudly represent and advocate for the City of San Luis and its residents,” he added.
