Printmaking Series (Wilson)

Mondays, July 11, 18, 25 & August 1

4:00 – 5:00 pm

For four weeks, we’ll explore the process of Printmaking using different materials.

Materials and supplies provided, but feel free to bring your own stencils, cookie cutters, or paper to print on. This event will take place outdoors. All ages welcome, children under 10 should be accompanied by a supervising adult.

We are hosting three Community Listening Sessions at Wilson Branch Library to better understand your aspirations for the Branch and how we might strengthen our role in serving your needs. Come to one or come to all! 

Learn How to Lead Like a Pro (Re-Scheduled)

Monday, July 11, 7:00 – 8:30 pm

Join the Main Library and Dr. Matthew Raidbard, author of Lead Like a Pro. This talk is designed specifically for athletic coaches to provide them with foundational leadership knowledge and teach them techniques they can use to practice the best leadership style and behaviors that align with their personal values and beliefs. During this program, Dr. Raidbard will give an introduction to leadership practice, and discuss the importance of coaches viewing themselves as leaders and making intentional leadership choices. This program will be hybrid – our speaker will be on Zoom but patrons can either join us in person at the library or login from home using Zoom.

Wires and strings and beads, oh my! Stop by the Wilson Branch Library’s Jewelry Club every other Wednesday to make bracelets, earrings, waist beads, and more. Materials provided. Ages 13 to 18. 

Virtual Book Club

Thursday, July 14, 2:00 - 3:00 pm

Join our Virtual Book Club for a lively discussion of Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance. Discussions are held on Zoom on the second Thursday of every month. Books are available at the Lending Desk, one month prior to each meeting. In order to participate with Zoom securely, please register on our website by 1:00 pm on July 14.

SRL Irish Dance Academy Performance

Saturday, July 16, 10:30 – 11:30 am

Kidspace will be featuring SRL Irish Dance Academy for a special performance! Scoil Rince Lumini (SRL Irish Dance Academy) would love you to join us for a showcase of Irish music and dance. We’re an Irish dance academy based in South Windsor, CT and teach this cultural tradition to students from age 2 into adulthood. If you can walk, you can dance! Come see what we can do!

Introduction to Bees & Beekeeping (Wilson)
