Osceola Arts Presents: Clue 

Why not start the new year with a laugh? Come out to Osceola Arts and get a Clue. Meet Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard in this hilarious whodunit farce. This cast of characters has been invited to a mysterious dinner party when their host turns up dead. The six must put their heads together to find the killer. Because if they don't, they could be next.

This show is Rated PG.

Osceola Arts will present an American Sign Language-interpreted performance on Saturday, February 4th at 2:00 PM.

Sinopsis 

Me casé por papeles narra la historia de Diego, un florista de 35 años que desea cumplir el sueño de su hija de celebrar su quinceañero, pero no tiene dinero. Él acuerda contraer matrimonio con Nadia, una ex reina de belleza y aspirante a actriz de telenovelas a cambio de $20,000. Un giro inesperado amenaza con arruinar sus planes de evadir las leyes de inmigración de los Estados Unidos. 

Synopsis 

I Got Hitched for Papers tells the story of Diego, a 35-year-old florist who wants to fulfill his daughter's dream of celebrating her quinceañera, but has no money. He agrees to marry Nadia, a former beauty queen and aspiringtelenovela actress in exchange for $20,000. An unexpected twist threatens to derail their plans to evade US immigration laws.

New Art Exhibits at Osceola Arts

Osceola Arts presents The Best of the Best- Osceola County School District High School Art and Design Show in the Studio Gallery, January 5-February 5, 2023. Osceola County High School art teachers will select art students from each high school who put their talents to the test. Students who think outside the box will be showing their most unique and creative artworks.

A free art reception will be held on Saturday,

January 14 from 2pm - 5pm.

Showcasing the artist within! The National Arts Program is designed to give all artists at all skill levels, an uninhibited opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional manner and to compete for cash prizes.

Sponsored by the National Arts Program in support and cooperation with Osceola Arts, the exhibit will showcase artwork created by Osceola School District employees, their immediate family members, retirees, volunteers, and Osceola Arts employees, volunteers, and current students. The exhibit runs from January 5- February 5, 2023.

Seeking Non-Union actors. All roles paid. Seeking Actors & Singers 18 & up who can move. All Actors are welcomed and urged audition. We commit to practicing diverse and inclusive casting without regard to disability, race, age, color, National origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity. 

Auditions will be held in person at Osceola Arts on Sunday, January 8th & Monday, January 9th. Audition appointments are available per hour. 

Actors should prepare 32 bars of a contemporary character song in the style of the show. Songs from the show are strongly discouraged. Actors will also be taught a short Jazz movement piece. Please bring appropriate clothing/shoes. Character heels/jazz shoes are strongly encouraged.

Actors may be asked to attend callbacks after their audition. Callbacks will be held in person at Osceola Arts on Tuesday, January 10th no earlier than 6p.

Description: 

This musical comedy tells the story of Charity Valentine. She is a hopeless romantic dance hall hostess who hasn’t been lucky in love since moving to the Big Apple. Enter Oscar, a mild-mannered accountant, who just might be the ONE! Will Charity’s unwavering optimism finally lead her to true love? With a score by Cy Coleman, book by Neil Simon, and original choreography by Bob Fosse, Charity's adventurous journey towards love is marked by some of the best-loved songs (If My Friends Could See Me Now, There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This, I'm a Brass Band) and most iconic dance numbers (Big Spender, Rich Man's Frug, Rhythm of Life) in Broadway history. Rated PG-13
