WINTER WEATHER TIPS
It May Have Warmed Up, But ...
It is Still the Winter Season

Just a few reminders for all of us on how to be safe and enjoy the season:

-Bring your pets Indoors, when its cold. They will love you for it!

-Avoid long exposures in the cold.

-Place a winter survival kit in your car. Items should include battery-powered radio, tire chains, booster cables, shovel, sand, flashlight, candles and matches, first aid kit, non-perishable, high-calorie food, extra clothing/blankets, and a fully-charged cell phone.

-Travel with caution, given road conditions can change rapidly, and go slow.

-Give road crews plenty of space for their trucks and plows.

-Park vehicles in driveways when its snows as much as possible to keep streets open for salting, plowing, and overall safety.

-Check on family members and neighbors that are more susceptible to cold and wintery weather conditions.

-Watch those water pipes and use weatherstripping, if windows allow drafts into your home.

-Use caution when shoveling snow. Keep light loads on the blade and take breaks to warm up.

-Report a power outage to Ameren Missouri (your cell phone will still work, even without electricity)
