*** WINTER WEATHER TIPS ***
With the snow yesterday, and now the bitter temperatures and high winds bringing dangerous wind chills, just a few reminders for all of us on how to be safe and enjoy the season:

Bring your pets Indoors. They will love you for it!
Avoid long exposures in the cold.
Place a winter survival kit in your car. Items should include battery-powered radio, tire chains, booster cables, shovel, sand, flashlight, candles and matches, first aid kit, non-perishable, high-calorie food, extra clothing/blankets, and a fully-charged cell phone.
Travel with caution, given road conditions can change rapidly, and go slow.
Give road crews plenty of space for their trucks and plows.
Park vehicles in driveways as much as possible to keep streets open for salting, plowing, and overall safety.
Check on family members and neighbors that are more susceptible to cold and wintery weather conditions.
Watch those water pipes and use weatherstripping, if windows allow drafts into your home.
Use caution when shoveling snow. Keep light loads on the blade and take breaks to warm up.
Report a power outage to Ameren Missouri (your cell phone will still work, even without electricity).
Finally, by the middle of next week, the temperature is to be in the middle 50's!
