Mayor Regina Romero, City of Tucson Ward 2 Council Member Paul Cunningham, and Tucson Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the completion of a new playground at Fort Lowell Park. The project included new playground structures with shade and an ADA-accessible walkway.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this new playground to families in the Tucson area,” said Ward 2 Council Member Paul Cunningham. “The City of Tucson is committed to providing safe, fun, and accessible places for children and families to play. We look forward to seeing the Fort Lowell playground enjoyed by many.”

The new playground is designed to create a safe, fun, and positive environment for kids and families to enjoy. The playground features a variety of play structures designed to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play. The playground was made possible through Tucson Delivers, 2018 voter-approved Proposition 407 bond funds and a generous donation of the latest in play innovations from Burke.

“Bringing play to communities is our passion, mission and business,” said Michael Phelan, president and CEO of BCI Burke. “It was our pleasure to work with the City of Tucson and Play it Safe Playgrounds to bring this engaging and exciting playspace to this community. We’re so excited for everyone to be able to play, connect, develop and have fun in this new space.”
