PUBLIC WORKS

Protect Our Pipes

Remember: Do not flush wipes in your toilet. Flushable wipes do not fall apart when they are wet. In fact, they hold together better than paper towels. This can cause plumping problems in your home and affect your neighborhood. Visit templetx.gov/happypipes for more information.

Don't Place Thin Plastic Into Recycle Bins

Remember: Do not put thin plastic into the curbside recycle bins. This includes shrink wrap, grocery bags or garbage bags. Plastic bags and materials can clog the sorting machines and interrupt our curbside recycle services. Although these plastic materials can be recycled at places like grocery stores, they are not accepted in our curbside recycle program. Learn more information on our website.
