City of Princeton News : Mike Petrick to host 'Some Rare and Colorful Birds ofTexas' presentation at library

PRINCETON, TEXAS: Certified Texas Master Naturalist Mike Petrick will be sharing his love of birding and photography at the Lois Nelson Public Library on September 19, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. His program, “Some Rare and Colorful Birds of Texas,” will feature stunning photographs of the unique birds that he has encountered throughout his travels across the state. 

Petrick is a natural-born outdoorsman and has enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping all throughout his life. After teaching for almost 40 years, he retired and became a Texas Master Naturalist in 2011. 

He currently shares his passions by volunteering as a trail guide at The Heard Refuge and the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area. He also serves as a volunteer tram tour guide and contributes to the weekly bird census at the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge.
