City Manager Barbara Sondag Resigns

The City of Olivette announces that City Manager Barbara Sondag will retire effective April 3, 2023.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sondag began her career with the City of Olivette in 2013. In her resignation letter, Sondag acknowledged some of her successes of a new City Hall, a $16M Park and Community Center Project, and a reinvigorated Olive corridor. She thanked city staff for their hard work, dedication, and the bravery to try new things as they aspire to continuous service improvement. She stated, “all successes were accomplished by a team of employees, elected officials, commissioners, and residents. Olivette is poised for amazing things.”

Mayor Maxine Weil thanks Sondag for her array of contributions, and her leadership during her tenure as City Manager. “Though we are sad to see her go, I am excited for her next chapter and the opportunity to be closer to her grandchildren.”
