The City of Moorpark's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is inviting the community to participate in a naming contest for the soon-to-be-constructed inclusive playground at Tierra Rejada Park. The inclusive playground will be a fun community space that enables and encourages individuals of all abilities to interact and play in a safe, inclusive, and non-segregated setting. Construction on the inclusive playground is expected to begin in early 2023.

Community input helped select a “whimsical” theme for the park, which will feature stylized natural elements including a “tree house” tower, a custom sensory wall, and other “whimsical” elements to delight children and adults alike.  This fully inclusive playground will be the only one of its kind in the east county, drawing people from throughout the area and beyond.  The City is looking for a name that will help distinguish this unique Moorpark attraction.

To participate in the naming contest, contestants must reside in City of Moorpark.  Entries will be accepted through October 30, 2022 through the City website.  For more information about the Inclusive Playground and to participate in the Naming Contest, go to moorparkca.gov/playground4all.
