First Care Women's Health Pregnancy Medical Center Moves to Downtown Manassas

First Care Women's Health, a pregnancy medical center, is relocating to Historic Downtown Manassas. The clinic is in the midst of renovating a 5,000 square foot building near the corner of Center Street and Grant Avenue and will relocate their team of 11 employees and numerous volunteers mid-summer once work is completed.

Formerly located in the Sudley Road Corridor, First Care will bring their patient-focus closer to the heart of Manassas. Formerly known as Care Net Pregnancy Resource Centers, the 501 (c) (3) nonprofit has been in the greater Manassas area for over 30 years and is affiliated with the faith-based ministry, Life First. First Care provides compassionate care to women and their partners who are struggling with an unplanned pregnancy. All services are free to patients: pregnancy tests, sonograms, medical consultations, lay counseling, referrals to many resources in the community, and parenting and pre-natal education.

“This location provides necessary visibility to best meet the needs of many women and families in our community,” says Life First CEO, Becky Sheetz. “We’re excited to open our new office in Downtown Manassas and bring impeccable pregnancy medical care, compassion, hope and support—all free of charge to her because of generous supporters in our community. We'd also like to thank four incredible local businesses for their support during our renovation: Costello Construction, i-comm, Inc., Sotheby Floors Inc., and ABC Glass and Mirror. "

First Care is the latest in a number of new business and construction projects coming to Downtown Manassas. Others include the recently announced Benny’s Pizza opening next to the Harris Pavilion, the Harris II mixed-use building under construction, Manassas City Hall’s first-ever renovation, and a number of developments on Grant Avenue.

Manassas Workforce Survey - Help Us Improve

Manassas is committed to creating an education system and robust workforce development initiatives that meet the needs of our business community. In order to do so, we have to measure our business community’s thoughts about their ability to find talent within the City’s workforce.

Please help us assess our workforce needs by completing the 2022 Manassas Workforce Development Survey. The survey takes less than two minutes to complete and provides vital feedback in our efforts to develop the talent our businesses need.

As an incentive, respondents will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Heart Beat Gift Card. A total of 10 recipients will be randomly selected but you must respond by July 15, 2022.
