Premier Martial Arts Opens on Sudley Road

Premier Martial Arts, a community-oriented martial arts studio and self-defense center, has relocated its school in the City of Manassas. The studio, located in the Manassas Corner Shopping Center on Sudley Road, offers training in karate, Krav Maga, kickboxing, and other blended martial arts for children and adults as well as parties, events, and private lessons.

Premier relocated from elsewhere in the City to their new Sudley Road location this September, bringing its team of seven instructors and staff to one of the City’s most active commercial corridors. From their new studio, owner Tim Rook and the Premier team are training their students to learn how to set boundaries and defend themselves appropriately, building confidence and strength, while teaching them discipline and focus in developing habits for success.

“As someone who grew up in Manassas, attending Metz Middle and Osbourn High School, it’s incredibly rewarding to continue running a business in this City for now 12 years. We love being part of this unique, diverse community and sharing the dedication and discipline embedded in the martial arts with Manassas area youth and adults. I’ve seen several of our students and black belts grow up, attend college, and pursue amazing careers,” says Rook.

To learn more, visit Premier Martial Art’s website at PremierMartialArts.com or visit them at their location at 9223 Sudley Road.

Manassas Photo Contest Images and City Photography

This summer, the Economic Development Department ran its first ‘What do you love about Manassas’ photo contest to collect photos and imagery that showcase the best of our City. Over three months, we received more than 370 photo submissions of City events, Historic Downtown, parks, shops, and unique Manassas sights. Our winning entries (seen above) were announced in October and each winner was given a Heart Beat Gift Card to spend at their favorite Manassas restaurant or store.

We are excited to announce that the photos submitted in our contest are now available to the public for download and unrestricted use at the City’s Flickr gallery here. We encourage businesses and individuals to use these photo collections for their own marketing, social media, or other venues.
