The Municipal Band Concert Series is back for 2022! Join us at Washington Park on Wednesday evenings for a family-friendly concert series featuring a variety of musical repertoires. The first concert of the 2022 season, presented by the Laramie Municipal Band, will be Wednesday, June 29th at 7:30 p.m.

Sponsored by the City of Laramie, the band is also scheduled to perform concerts at the bandshell on July 13, 20, and 27th, as well as at this year’s Annual Freedom Has a Birthday celebration on July 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These concerts are FREE and will be held at the Edgar J. Lewis Bandshell in Washington Park at the corner of 18th and Sheridan.

Members of the band include community members from Laramie and Albany County, as well as select UW musicians and high school performers, covering the gamut of almost seven decades of band geeks sharing their talent with the audiences and having fun. Joining us again to direct the band is UW Director of Bands Robert Belser. For more information, please contact Todd Feezer, Assistant City Manager at [email protected] or call 721.5304.

Be sure to bring your lawn chair, then sit back, relax, and enjoy a concert featuring Sousa marches, classic band-in-the-park tunes, and multiple entertaining and fun pieces.
