On Tuesday October 11, 2022 at 6:00 PM the Healdsburg Planning Commission will hold a workshop to discuss the Housing Element Public Review Draft.

Background: 
The City of Healdsburg is in the process of updating the Housing Element of the City’s General Plan to ensure that we’re prepared to meet Healdsburg’s housing needs over the next eight years. Under State law, every City and County in California is required to update its Housing Element to address specific requirements and submit the element to the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). 

The Housing Element serves as Healdsburg’s blueprint for meeting the housing needs of our current and future residents and workforce, including people living at all economic levels and those with unique housing needs. 

The Draft Housing Element Update is now available for public review from September 30 to October 30, 2022. Comments may be submitted to [email protected] or mailed/delivered to Healdsburg City Hall (401 Grove Street) by Sunday, October 30, 2022.

In addition, the Draft Housing Element will also be heard before the Healdsburg Planning Commission on October 11, 2022. 

Participation from the community is vital to ensure that Healdsburg’s values are identified and articulated in the Housing Element, and that the City’s approach provides the best fit for the community’s goals and priorities. Public comment received on the Draft Housing Element will be incorporated into the Final Adopted Housing Element submitted to the state for review and anticipated for adoption in January 2023.
