While Memorial Day weekend is typically the kickoff to summer, we’re going to get started a few days early this year! Read on for all the details…

Community Concert Featuring Heidi Newfield, Tuesday, May 24, Plaza Park
Our Community Services team is proud to support the Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair’s first ever community concert featuring Healdsburg native Heidi Newfield. Heidi grew up in Healdsburg and Windsor before she moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music, and since then has become a platinum selling country music success. This FREE event starts at 5:00 pm with an antique tractor display and local food and beverages for sale, including beer and wine. Music will begin at 6:30 pm. No ice chests, pets, or outside alcohol.  www.facebook.com/events/1940652102793366

Future Farmers Country Fair Twilight Parade, Thursday, May 26
The Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair’s annual Twilight Parade returns this year with the theme “Unity, Community … Ag in our Glue in 2022”. The parade’s route remains the same as previous years starting near St. John's Church on East and Matheson St., turning right onto Center St. and continuing to Piper St., then heading south on Fitch St., turning onto Matheson St. and ending on University.  www.healdsburgfair.org

Future Famers Country Fair, May 26-May 28, Recreation Park
The Fair is back! Enjoy games, food, animals, a circus, and more while supporting local students exhibiting their agricultural projects that they have been working on in their FFA and 4-H clubs. The livestock auction begins at 4:00 PM on Saturday. Bring the whole family for this fun-filled weekend! www.healdsburgfair.org

Tuesdays in the Plaza, May 31 – August 30, Plaza Park
Tuesdays in the Plaza is almost here! We hope you are excited for a FULL summer of music featuring a variety of talented artists each week from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Plaza. Our Community Services team is finalizing the line-up and will have an announcement in the next few days. www.healdsburg.gov/tuesdayconcerts

Summer Sundays, June 5 – August 14, Plaza Park
Our Community Services team is excited to bring back the Summer Sundays series of relaxing afternoons in the Plaza this summer from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Each week will feature a live music performance from a local band or performer. Not to be confused with Tuesdays in the Plaza, this is a great opportunity to bring a picnic, sit back, relax and enjoy the melodies. No alcohol is permitted during our Sunday concerts. www.healdsburg.gov/899/Sundays-in-the-Plaza

Chief Kevin Burke Scholarship Fund

Community Members, members of the the City Council and City of Healdsburg Staff, in partnership with the Santa Rosa Junior College, have created the Chief Kevin Burke Scholarship Fund. The Chief Kevin Burke Scholarship is a way to honor the legacy of Chief Kevin Burke who led the Healdsburg Police Department from 2011 to 2021. The fund will support students enrolled in the Santa Rosa Junior College Police Academy with the greatest need. If the goal of $100,000 dollars is met, scholarships will also be offered to students enrolled in the Corrections Academy and Ranger Academy.
