Strike Team Deployed to the Mountain Fire
Healdsburg Fire Department Engine 6361 has been deployed as part of a five engine, type 3 strike team (XSC2312C) to the Mountain Incident. The fire is located southeast of the community of Gazelle in Siskiyou County. Fire Captain Mack Montanye, Engineer Amanda Newhall, and Firefighter Dean De La Montanya are staffing the apparatus. The fire is currently at 11,960 acres and 45% contained. Extremely high temperatures and high potential for fire spread prompted OES to request mutual aid strike teams from our region. The Fire Department will continue to be staffed normally during this deployment with no reduction in service.

Any questions can be directed to the Healdsburg Fire Department at 707-431-3360.
