Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc. and the City of Emeryville are offering a convenient and free way to compost holiday trees.

-Trees will be collected curbside on regular collection days from January 2, 2023 through January 31, 2023

-Place your tree at the curb next to your green waste, recycling and trash carts on your regular pick up day

-Trees taller than 6 feet must be cut into lengths of 6 feet or smaller

-Remove all tinsel, ornaments, nails, and tree stands

-Artificial or flocked trees are not accepted, since they cannot be composted

-After January 31, 2023, trees will not be collected curbside without an additional charge unless they are cut up and properly placed into your green compost cart
