The City Council has a vacancy and will begin accepting applications for the open seat on Friday, January 27, 2023. The application will be available on the City's website through February 10, 2023. 

To qualify to serve as a Council Member, the applicant must be a resident and registered voter in the City of Emeryville. Registered voters in Emeryville must be U.S. citizens, residents of Emeryville, 18 years of age or older, and not currently in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.

The Council will review the applications and make an appointment by mid-March. The appointed Council Member's term will expire in December 2024. This is a unique opportunity so make sure you check out the application when it posts on Friday!
