This is Coppell: Public Works
The City of Coppell Public Works Department keeps the community connected to reliable utilities, healthy drinking water, and safe streets to move people, bikes, cars, and goods throughout the city. From raindrops to roadways, Public Works is involved in keeping things moving in the right direction. Our teams maintain 205 miles of water lines, 120 miles of drainage pipes, 500 football field lengths worth of streets, and so much more! If that wasn’t enough, our Public Works crews are also first responders who step up in emergencies. Remember the 2021 freeze? Public Works responded to more than 500 calls from residents who needed assistance turning off their water!

This is Public Works.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll introduce you to the dedicated professionals and departments that make Coppell the place you want to be. Check out the series intro video and be sure to stay tuned to our social media channels to learn how we modernize, innovate, and break barriers to government!
