Parks and Recreation's facilities Memorial Day hours

All City of Auburn Parks and Recreation’s facilities will be closed Monday, May 30 in honor of memorial Day except for the following facilities. The Yarbrough Tennis Center will be open Sat. – Mon., May 28 – 30 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. no city tennis clinics will be held on Monday. The Samford Pool will be open Monday, Lap swim 5:30 – 7 a.m. Rec. Swim 12:30 – 5 p.m. & 6 – 9 p.m. All parks, playgrounds and cemeteries will be open sunup to sundown.

Auburn Parks and Recreation Summer Program registration Online

Auburn Parks and Recreation will launch their online registration system beginning Monday, May 2 at 8 a.m. Citizens must have an account to register for any Parks and Recreation programs. An account should be created for any individual who is interested in registering and participating in a program. Online accounts can be created prior to the May 2 registration date. To access the online system and create an account, please visit www.auburnalabama.org/parks/register.

Once your account has been activated, the system will verify your residency status using your address or employment location. Those who live and/or work in Auburn can register for programs once registration opens each quarter. Non-residents will have to wait for two weeks from the program’s registration start date. Summer quarter programs will begin in June.

Programs with an associated cost will require payment which can be made online using a credit card. Individuals who wish to pay with cash or check can do so in-person at the Harris Center Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm. Credit card payments cannot be accepted for in-person transactions.

Summer Night Downtown Art Walk applications available for vendors, sponsors & culinary contest

The SummerNight Committee is now accepting applications for the 16th annual SummerNight Downtown Art Walk held Friday, June 10 from 6 – 10 p.m. in the heart of downtown Auburn. Applications are available for art exhibitors, the Crazy for Coconuts culinary contest, sponsors, festival attractions and volunteers.

SummerNight is a downtown entertainment district event and will be held on Friday, June 10, from 6 - 10 p.m. in downtown Auburn. This event is FREE to the public and will take place rain or shine! Artists, downtown businesses, volunteers and culinary artists are encouraged to participate. All applications are due no later than Friday, May 27.
