City Of American Canyon - Neighborhood Watch Newsletter - June 2022

Government and Politics

June 22, 2022

From: City Of American Canyon

Hello,

The American Canyon Police Department would like to congratulate all the graduates and wish you the best in your next endeavor! Whether it be college, the military, a trade school, or still trying to figure it out, we encourage you to make good choices and continue giving 100% in all you do.

ACPD wants to remind parents to be responsible gun owners; please take the extra time to secure guns properly, so they do not get in the hands of children and thieves if your home is broken into. Especially during this time since school is out for the summer and children are likely to be unsupervised at home. Summer is also vacation time for most of us, which means vacant houses for thieves to take advantage of if residences and belongings, including firearms, are not appropriately secured.

ACPD would like to share the Be SMART For Kids website for education tips on gun safety and storage.

Next month is July, and we will celebrate our country's independence and birth. Please do this safely and responsibly. A reminder that fireworks are illegal in Napa County, including our city. Our annual fireworks show at Community Park II is happening this year. ACPD and your neighbors would appreciate it if those were the only fireworks seen and heard.

I wish you all a Happy 4th of July and look forward to seeing you at the parade and festivities!

Respectfully,

Rick Greenberg
Chief of Police
