City Of American Canyon Manager's Update - January 27, 2023

Government and Politics

January 30, 2023

From: City Of American Canyon

I want to bring to your attention several public meetings on the calendar for next week:

- Monday, January 30th, 5:30 PM: The City Council will hold a special meeting to conduct interviews for the Parks and Community Services Commission openings. This meeting will give the Council an opportunity to hear from potential Commissioners about their desire to assist with park development, facility use, recreation programming and related issues.

- Tuesday, January 31st, 6:30 PM: The City Council and Planning Commission will meet jointly for a special meeting related to the General Plan's Housing Element Update. The meeting is an important step in this vital effort, which will establish goals, policies, and actions to achieve the community’s vision over the next 20 years. Learn more.

- Thursday, February 2nd, 6 PM: City staff will host a Traffic Calming Update Community Meeting (see flyer below for details). The City takes a data-driven approach to focus infrastructure design, public education, and enforcement efforts around the goal of zero traffic fatalities or severe injuries through our Traffic Calming Program—and this meeting is your opportunity to supplement this data with your own anecdotes and perspectives in case we’ve missed something. The collective safety of our roadways also depends on the individual choices we all make. As a community, each of us contributes to ensuring American Canyon remains the best place to live, work, and play safely. I hope to see you at this important meeting.
