Fall 2022
Inspiring play in the every day.

Hello,

As our summer is nearing an end, and the start of school is right around the corner, we are filling in these last of couple weeks with as much summer fun as possible. These programs and events you will not want to miss out on!

July 29: Story Walk at the Wetlands

We partnered with ACCPF and Napa County Regional Park & Open Space District to host a Story Walk at the Wetlands from July 30 - August 25, which features the book, I Know the River Loves Me, authored by Maya Christina Gonzalez in both English and Spanish. This is an innovative and delightful way for American Canyon families to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Join us for the kickoff event on Friday, July 29, at 4:30 pm at Wetlands Edge.

July 30: S'mores and Meteors

Our annual Smores and Meteors event will be on Saturday, July 30, from 8:30 pm – 12:00 am at Wetlands Edge. Enjoy a starry night filled with astronomy learning, dancing to a silent disco, and making smores.

Register here to participate.

Grab your buddy and meet us at the Chamber’s Meet Me in the Streets event to compete in our Cornhole duo tournament. The winner gets bragging rights and an entry into Napa County’s Tournament of Champions this fall.

August 10 Movie in the Park

Join us after the Chamber’s Meet Me in the Streets event at Northampton Park as we feature Disney’s “Encanto.” Tell your friends and family, bring your lawn chair and blanket, and don’t forget your favorite snacks! Come early and visit the food trucks for dinner; the movie is expected to start around 8:00 pm.

August 13: Water Carnival

Welcome back to our beloved Water Carnival at the Phillip West Aquatics Center! We are ready for this event on August 13th from 1:30 pm-5 pm. Registration is required to attend and participate in fun games, treats, and swimming. This is an event of fun for the whole family, and spots will go fast! Register here to attend.

September 17: Coastal Clean-Up

Calling all Volunteers! Join us, along with the California Coastal Commission and Napa RCD, to clean up and beautify our parks, open spaces, and wetlands as a part of the annual Coastal Cleanup event.
