Arts and Entertainment

From: Center Theatre for the Performing Arts

Hello fans and friends of the Center Theatre,

Starting tomorrow (Friday the 19th) we’re showing Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris and Nope. We’re also adding to the Monson Bicentennial festivities on Saturday the 20th and showing Shrek by donation at 6pm at the Monson Gym. Then on Sunday, it’s your last chance to see our Traveling Summer Shorts. Our high school troupe will be performing at Greenville High School at 2pm, Sunday the 21st. Also by donation.

With camp and the traveling show over, it seems like Summer is coming to it’s end. In that quiet time between Summer and Fall we’re going to shut down for a week. We’ll take some needed vacation time and work on some projects inside the Theaters. So no movies from Friday the 26th to Thursday September 1st. Because of this, our Free Member Movie night will be on August 24th. That night members of the Center Theatre can see either Mrs. Harris goes to Paris or Nope for Free! And, of course, we’ll see you the eveing of the 27th for David Dodson live in concert!

Here’s a teaser for a fundraiser later in September. On September 24th, our friend and Board Member Dani Buschmann will be stuck in a chair on the roof deck. She’ll be on a live-stream starting at 10am and stay there until we raise at least $1,000. You can make your donations now to keep her time short and to give her some much needed goodies while she’s stuck up there. All the details are at https://www.centertheatre.org/dani-on-deck.
